Updating Your Page

Once you've added your pub to the Our-Pub Directory your can update all your information and showcase your Featured Events on The Tameside Pub Guide! Below is a step by step guide how to update your page.

How Do I Add My Events To The Tameside Pub Guide?
- Any Featured Events you add to your page will automatically appear in The Tameside Pub Guide too, reaching hundreds of pub goers every week!
How Do I Add A Featured Event?
- 1. Log in to your admin area
  2. Click Featured Event in the left hand menu
  3. Add a Title, Description, and the Time & Date of your event
  4. Click Publish.
  Your event will now appear on your page and in The Tameside Pub Guide.
How Do I Add Regular Events?
- 1. Log in to your admin area
  2. Click Regular Events in the left hand menu
  3. Click the Add Your Regular Events link
  4. Replace or edit the existing contents
  4. Click Update.
  Your regular events will now appear at the top of the chalkboard on your page.
What's The Difference Between Regular And Featured Events?
- Regular Events will appear exclusively and permanently on your page. They will stay on your page until you edit or remove them. Regular Events do not appear in The Tameside Pub Guide.
  Featured Events will appear on your page and on The Tameside Pub Guide. When adding a Featured Event, you are required to add the time and date.
  All events in The Tameside Pub Guide are sorted in chronological order with the closest event at the top.
  As the time and date you specified approaches, your event will move up the list.
  An hour after the time and date you've specified, the event will disappear allowing other event to move up the list.
I Want My Regular Events To Appear In The Tameside Pub Guide!
- Do you have a weekly quiz, karaoke or any other regular event that you want to apear in The Tameside Pub Guide every week?
  The easiest way to do this is to create each one as an individual Featured Event (See above?).
  Once they're set up as Featured Events they will apear on your page and in The Tameside Pub Guide. After the event has passed it will disappear from the lists.
  To make it apear again for the next week...
  1. Click Events Archive in the left hand menu
  2. Click the event you want to re-apear
  3. Change the date to the next time it's on
  4. Click Update.
  Your event will now re appear on your page and in The Tameside Pub Guide. The Events Archive contains all Featured Events you have published. If you have the same artist on again or a similar event to one you've had on previously, you can click the old event in your archive and re activate it by changing the date and time then clicking update. The event will now re-apear on your page and in The Tameside Pub Guide.
How Do I Make My Events Automatically Appear On My Facebook & Twitter Pages?
- You can link your Our-Pub account to your Facebook & Twitter pages so every Featured Event you add to your page will automatically appear on your social network pages too!
  To link your social network accounts
  1. Click Profile in the left hand menu
  2. Scroll to the bottom and you will see the Sign In With Facebook & Sign In With Twitter Buttons.
  3. Tick the Connect With pages Support button then click the Sign In With Facebook button.
  4. Enter your Facebook user name and password and click log in.
  5. Confirm the Allow Access requests.
  TIP! - The second request asks for permission to post on your behalf. If you click the drop down menu, you can change who can see these posts. As you are posting to advertise your pub, we suggest you choose Public so your posts reach a wide an audience as possible!
  6. Tick the boxes next to the Facebook profiles / pages you wish to post to
  7. Click Update Profile and your Facebook account is linked!
  You can now link your Twitter account in a similar way. Once your accounts are linked, you will have the option of automatically posting your events to your Facebook and Twitter pages.
How Do I Update My Introduction, Contact Details and Opening Times?
- 1. Log in to your admin area
  2. Click Introduction, Contact Details or Opening Times in the left hand menu
  3. Click the Click Here To Edit Your Introduction / Opening Times / Contact Details link
  4. Replace or edit the existing contents
  4. Click Update.
  Your updated information will now appear on your page.
How Do I Update My Feature Photo?
- 1. Log in to your admin area
  2. Click Feature Photo in the left hand menu
  3. Click the Click Here To Change Your Feature Photo link
  4. Replace or edit the existing contents
  4. Click Update.
  Your updated information will now appear on your page.
How Do I Add My Menus?
- Unfortunately there's no facility for you to automatically upload your menus to your page at the moment.
  If you would like to add your menus to your page you can email us a digital copy which we will add for you. If you dont have a digital copy of your menu we can come to your pub (in the Tameside area) and collect one. We will then scan it and add it to your page.
